The LinkedIn-and-Google routine before every call, done for you
RunDossier finds a person's public LinkedIn profile from their name and company, adds recent public web results and your own email history, and writes it up as a briefing you can read in two minutes. About 60 seconds per person.
Built for sales and BD teams who research every prospect by hand and would rather not.
No credit card. One credit per dossier, about 60 seconds per run.
What gets automated
This is the routine, step for step. RunDossier runs all of it from one input.
- 1Search LinkedIn, open three profiles, decide which one is right
- 2Read the headline, experience, and education; copy the useful lines somewhere
- 3Google the name and company for anything recent
- 4Search your inbox to remember whether you have met
- 5Write it into a few lines you can actually use on the call
- Person's name
- Sarah Chen
- Context
- VP of Engineering at TechCorp
A person's full name plus their company or title. RunDossier researches people, so a company name on its own finds no profile — and you never need to paste a LinkedIn URL; the profile is located for you, and if several people share the name you pick the right one.
The output: a profile read for you, not copied
The professional background section is drawn from the public profile — role, tenure, previous employers, education — and written as a narrative rather than a pasted résumé.

What it is, and what it is not
It is
- One person per run, from name + company or title
- Public profile data plus public web search
- Your own Gmail history with the person, if you connect it
- A readable briefing with talking points, in about a minute
- Available from the web app, Slack, and a REST API
It is not
- A browser extension or anything that uses your LinkedIn login
- A bulk list scraper or lead database
- A source of phone numbers or email addresses
- A personality or DISC profiler
- A substitute for a person's actual public footprint — thin profiles yield thin dossiers
Everything the web app does, the API does from the same credit balance: POST a name and context, poll until complete, and attach the markdown wherever your pipeline keeps notes. People research API for CRMs and automation tools.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to paste a LinkedIn profile URL?
No. Enter the person's name with their company or title and RunDossier locates the public profile for you. If several people match a common name, you are shown the matching profiles with headline and location and pick the right one.
Does RunDossier log in to my LinkedIn account or install a browser extension?
No. There is nothing to install and it never uses your LinkedIn credentials. Profile data comes from public profile information via a third-party enrichment provider, combined with public web search.
Can it research a whole list of prospects at once?
Not from the web app, which is built around one person per run. For workflows, the public API accepts one person per request and can be called from a script or an automation tool, one credit per dossier, within the documented rate limits.
What if the person has little or no LinkedIn presence?
The dossier will be thin. RunDossier can only summarize what is publicly there plus your own email history with the person; it does not fill gaps with guesses.
What does it cost?
One credit per dossier. New accounts start with 3 free credits and no card. Monthly plans and one-time credit packs are listed on the pricing section of the home page.
Try it on a prospect you have already researched
Compare the dossier with your own notes. Three runs are free, no card — enter a name and company and judge it on a person you know.
