Terms of Service
Last updated: August 1, 2026
1. Agreement
RunDossier (rundossier.com) is operated by Rho Forge LLC ("we", "us"). By creating an account, installing our Slack app, or using the service in any way, you agree to these terms. If you are using RunDossier on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.
2. The service
RunDossier generates research briefings ("dossiers") about people you are preparing to meet, using publicly available information and, when you explicitly connect them, your own Gmail and Google Docs accounts. Dossiers can be requested from the web app, the /dossier Slack command, or the API.
3. Accounts
- You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account and your API keys.
- You must be at least 18 years old to use the service.
- When you install the Slack app, dossier generation in that workspace draws from the installing account's credit balance. Workspace members who link their own accounts are subject to these terms as well.
4. Credits, subscriptions, and billing
- Each dossier consumes one credit. New accounts receive free trial credits.
- Subscriptions renew monthly and grant a monthly credit allotment. Unused monthly credits do not roll over and are forfeited at each renewal. Canceling a subscription zeroes any remaining monthly credits at the end of the paid period.
- One-time top-up credits never expire and survive subscription cancellation.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are shown at checkout and may change with notice; changes never apply retroactively to a paid period.
- If a dossier fails to generate, the credit is automatically refunded. If we got the wrong person, you can delete the dossier and the credit is returned. Beyond that, fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
5. Acceptable use
RunDossier is a meeting-preparation tool. You agree to use it only for lawful, professional research, and you agree NOT to use it to:
- harass, stalk, intimidate, or harm any person, or research individuals for any purpose they would reasonably object to outside a professional context;
- make decisions about employment, credit, insurance, housing, or any purpose regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act or similar laws — RunDossier is not a consumer reporting agency and dossiers are not consumer reports;
- violate any applicable law, including data-protection and privacy laws that apply to you or your organization;
- resell, scrape, or systematically extract the service, probe or disrupt its infrastructure, or attempt to access another user's data.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.
6. Connected services
Connecting Gmail, Google Docs, or Slack is optional and governed by our Privacy Policy. You can disconnect any service at any time from your account settings, and removing the Slack app from a workspace deletes the associated workspace data.
7. Content and accuracy
- Dossiers are produced by automated research and AI synthesis from third-party sources. They may contain errors, out-of-date facts, or information about the wrong person. Verify anything you intend to rely on.
- You own the dossiers generated for you. We claim no rights over them beyond what is needed to store and deliver them to you.
- The service, its software, branding, and design remain the property of Rho Forge LLC.
8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of generated content. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rho Forge LLC's total liability for any claim arising out of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
9. Termination
You can stop using the service and request account deletion at any time (see the Privacy Policy for how). We may suspend or terminate the service or your account for breach of these terms, with notice where practical. Sections 7–10 survive termination.
10. Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, USA, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. We may update these terms; material changes will be announced on this page with an updated date, and continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
